KRA Accountants Ltd is an established accounting and advisory firm providing a full range of financial, tax, and business consultancy services to both corporate and individual clients. We are currently undertaking a major internal systems transformation project in preparation for HMRC's Making Tax Digital for Income Tax rollout in April 2026.

About the Role



We are seeking an experienced Financial Project Manager with a strong background in finance and accounting to lead our transition from a blend of desktop and digital applications to a fully digital practice management solution.

This role will oversee the implementation of new systems covering client management, bookkeeping, accounts production, statutory filing, and AML compliance. The position requires excellent project management skills, financial systems understanding, and attention to detail to ensure accurate data migration and integration across platforms.

Key Responsibilities



Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the firm's digital transformation project.

Manage the migration from legacy desktop systems to new digital software solutions.

Oversee data transfer and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Work closely with accounting teams to identify and resolve data or process inconsistencies.

Coordinate with software vendors, IT specialists, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.

Develop and maintain project documentation, timelines, and progress reports.

Ensure compliance with HMRC's Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements and relevant accounting standards.

Provide training and support to staff on new digital systems and workflows.

Skills and Experience Required



Extensive experience in finance management, auditing, and financial reporting.

Proven ability to manage financial data migration or system implementation projects.

Strong understanding of accounting, tax filing, and record-keeping processes.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to accuracy and compliance.

Proficiency in accounting and finance software, as well as MS Office applications.

Experience providing financial training or process optimisation is desirable.

Strong communication and organisational skills, able to work under time constraints.

Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (or equivalent).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 50,000.00-75,000.00 per year
