Alchemy is partnering with an established and successful Fine Art Shipping and Logistics organisation in London and supporting them in their search for a Fine Art Import Operator.
Responsibilities:

• Stay current on all HMRC and other legislation as well as business practices. Follow the Managing Director\'s and Customs Compliance Manager\'s instructions for accurately maintaining all records and completing all required paperwork.
• Complete import declarations, which the Managing Director and Customs Compliance Manager will inspect.
• Make practical arrangements directly with our clients to ensure efficient collections and deliveries as needed. This is done in conjunction with the Transport Manager.
• Arrange packaging appropriately as needed, giving the packing room department complete packing sheets and pertinent data.
• Compile supplier quotes when necessary.
• Communicate shipping departures and arrivals to all consignors and consignees, and work with them to confirm any specifics that are necessary for delivery.
• Ensure that all shipping documentation is finished on schedule and that each client receives a copy of all pertinent documents.
• Updating and maintaining internally shared documents for all imports at the company.

• Previous experience within the Fine Art Shipping field and knowledge of import and customs procedures within an Art Shipping Company is essential and required.
• Excellent skills in time management, customer service, communication, problem-solving, attention to detail and prioritizing.
• Great technical proficiency, knowledge including PC, iOS, Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
