Finish Machine Shop Inspector

We are looking for an Inspector to join our long established Machine Shop, based in Cradley Heath on the Spunalloys site, which is part of the Westley Group.

The Quality Inspector will responsible for:

Inspecting Large finish machined components using a variety of measuring equipment and instruments, such as Zeiss CMM, FARO Arm, Micrometres, Gauges etc. Ensuring that components are in-line with agreed specifications and drawings, producing dimensional reports and corrective action for non-conforming parts. Programming Zeiss CMM using Aberlink software - full training will be provided around this
The Quality Inspector will have:

Formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering (Apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC Level 3, Previous experience working on finish machined part inspection, using manual measuring equipment or ideally CMM (operating and/or programming) all brands & controls considered Strong and stable working history within a similar role.
Working Hours: Predominantly based on a 37 hour day shift on the below hours, however flexibility to work AM and PM shifts will be occasionally required

Monday to Thursday - 07:30 to 15:30

Friday - 07:30 to 14:30

Excellent working conditions and rates of pay (dependent upon experience)

Flexibility essential, as overtime and shift work will be expected as and when required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-18.00 per hour
