Finished Vehicle Logistics Planner - Hethel

To complete all necessary administrative duties required to support and enable the distribution of Finished Vehicles from Hethel to customer desitnations in UK, European and global markets. Includes all necessary administrative activity necessary to track spend, validate and pass invoices, order consumables, manage BPM activity, collate and report performance against KPIs and provide daily, weekly and period management reports.

To work in close liaison and cooperation with the Logistics Controller and all associated business functions and stakeholders as necessary to complete

This position is key to both the delivery of functional objectives and delivery of service excellence to our customers worldwide. It provides a solid foundation with opportunity for further progression within the Outbound Logistics, or the wider Supply team, as our Vision 80 Transformation Strategy is realised over the coming years and maintain business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • To gather and collate performance data against all on-site activities related to the receipt, storage, handling and despatch of Finished Vehicles manufactured at the Hethel manufacturing plant;
  • To monitor and maintain Management Control and Reporting Systems (MCRS) in respect to Safety, People, Quality, Cost, Responsiveness & Environment;
  • To produce and circulate performance reports providing both functional and wider business stakeholders with an accurate and transparent view of actual performance against agreed KPIs and collate variance commentary and associated imporvement plans;
  • Maintain inputs to Senioir Management meetings in accordance to published schedules, together with A3 Project Status updates, e.g new model launch programme;
  • Collate and circulate performance information provided by contracted third party logistics providers (3PLs), including remedial action plans and progress logs;
  • Provide meeting support to include scheduling, invitation control, venue booking, setting and circulation of agenda, minute/action taking and distribution.
  • To monitor and control Purchase to Pay process, to including forecasting future spend requirements, raising of BPMs, tracking of spend against Purchase Orders, invoice checking and passing and liaiuson with the finance team as necessary to ensure all protocols are adhered to and any issues resolved.
  • Support the operational team to maintain stockholding of essential consumables and equipment, e.g. container loading straps, to ensure operational continuity.
  • Support the Logistics Controller as necessary to maintain all schedules and databases as necessary to ensure all business stakeholders have access to accurate and up to date data visibility.
Person Specification:
  • Business administration qualifications
  • Previous adminstrative experience in a business environment, with full understanding of P2P process, reporting and communication.
  • Self reliant, team working, organised, confident, assertive, strong written and verbal communicator, problem solver \' can do\' approach.
  • IT literate with minimum intermediate MS Office Skills including Excel Pivot Tables, Lookups and Strong Word and Powerpoint capabilities.
  • Industrial / manufacturing environmen
  • Engaging and socially skilled personality; confident and capable to communicate with all levels throughout the business
  • Pursuasive, influencing skills
  • Intermediate Excel Skills (Look-ups, Compare Sheets to book transport).
