As we prepare to scale, we are building the financial and operational infrastructure that will power a smart, automated settlement ecosystem linking customer payments, merchant payouts, and platform revenues seamlessly.
We are looking for a Financial Systems Accountant to join our growing team and help us design, build, and optimise the systems that will form the backbone of our fintech operations.
About the Role
This is a unique hybrid role that combines finance, systems development, and process automation.
You will work closely with the
CFO
and
Engineering team
to:
Develop and implement the financial logic within our ERP accounting system.
Design and test the automated settlement and reconciliation framework between customers, merchants, and couriers
Ensure financial integrity and compliance across all system transactions

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Finance and Product teams to design an
ERP system
that integrates billing, payments, merchant settlements, and financial reporting.
Lead the implementation and testing of financial workflows within the ERP, including chart of accounts setup, reporting structures, and reconciliation logic.
Build and document the fintech settlement framework, automating fund flow and reconciliation between merchants, couriers, and the platform.
Support the development of internal controls and audit trails for all payment and settlement processes.
Collaborate with the software engineering team to ensure seamless integration between accounting modules, APIs, and third-party payment systems.
Create dashboards and analytical tools for real-time financial tracking and KPI monitoring.
Work cross-functionally with operations, business development, and compliance to align financial logic with platform functionality.
Assist in preparation of management accounts, forecasts, and business models as the company grows.
Skills & Experience
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and equivalent experience in financial systems development.
Proven experience implementing and managing
ERP systems
.
Strong understanding of payments, settlements, and reconciliation workflows -- ideally in a fintech, marketplace, or SaaS business.
Experience working with software developers and product teams to design or automate financial processes.
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills; experience with SQL or BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) desirable.
Familiarity with APIs, payment gateways, and financial integrations is a plus.
Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with excellent communication skills.
Passion for sustainability and social impact.
