Fire Tech Zone are a long established, friendly company which specialise in the installation and maintenance of Life Safety Systems and are recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team.

The Candidate

The successful applicant will have minimum of 3 years experience in similar role, good knowledge of BS5839, training will be provided for the right person but Fire Tech Zone are looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

About the role

Develop designs for Fire alarm system based on the building structure, occupancy, Fire risk assessment report, and as per BS5839 standards. Create wiring diagrams and determine the best routes for cables to ensure proper installation and minimal risk of diruption. Deal with clients to understand their specific needs and provide solutions that fit their safety and operational requirements. Provide guidance and clarification to installation teams and contractors to ensure that the fire alarm system is installed according to the design and meets safety standards. Respond to reactive call-outs and troubleshoot fire alar issues. Conduct basic commissioning and system checks to ensure proper functionality. Provide technical support and guidance to clients on fire alarm operation and system upgrades. Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all completed works. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during installation and maintenance tasks.
