We're recruiting on behalf of a respected and well-established client in the fire and security industry who is looking to bring an experienced Service Engineer on board. This role is based in Birmingham and covers surrounding areas.
The Role:
As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the routine servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding of a wide range of systems including fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control. You'll work across both commercial and residential sites, ensuring all systems are fully operational, compliant with relevant regulations, and maintained to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems to a high standard
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
• Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits
• Completing service reports and necessary documentation accurately
• Delivering excellent customer service and building rapport on site
• Ensuring all work complies with current health & safety and industry regulations

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Proven experience in a Fire and Security Service role
• Solid understanding of systems such as Texecom, Hikvision, Paxton, Honeywell, etc.
• Knowledge of relevant standards, such as BS5839
• A full UK driving licence (essential)
• ECS/CSCS card (preferred but not essential)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a self-motivated attitude
