Our Multiskilled Fire and Security Engineer is an integral part of the team. Responsible for maintenance and emergency callouts for both fire and security systems. This includes IP CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and fire systems. You'll ensure quality delivery across planned and reactive works, while upholding SLAs and compliance standards. A key part of your role will be first-time fixes and excellent customer communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and commission fire alarm systems, including detectors, control panels and notification devices, in accordance with BS 5839 standards and regulations.
Install and configuration of CCTV systems, including cameras, recording equipment and monitoring software, to meet client requirements.
Install and integrate access control systems, including card readers, keypads, and biometric devices, to manage entry and exit points effectively
Install perimeter and maintenance security systems
On-site safety checks for new and existing clients
Test and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
Provide technical support and assistance to clients during system installation, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with project managers, sales team members, and other engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Complete installation documentation and paperwork accurately and promptly.
Experience/skill requirements:
Proven experience in installing and configuring Fire alarm systems (C-Tec, Kentec, Gent), CCTV systems (Analogue and IP), and access control systems.
Proven experience in installing and configuring intruder alarm alarm systems (Pyronix, Texecom).
Basic data networking knowledge would be advantageous but not essential as training can be provided.
Strong technical knowledge of fire and security system components, wiring, and installation techniques according to BS standards.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as BS 5839 and BS 7671.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Full UK driving license to travel to clients on national sites as required

Pay: 32,000.00-45,000.00 per year
