RJ Build Services Ltd is a leading contractor in passive fire protection, working across residential, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Door Engineer / Carpenter to join our expanding team.

About the Role:

This role involves completing remedial and replacement works on fire doors in line with industry standards, certification requirements, and client specifications. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, experienced in working in live environments, and committed to high-quality delivery and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake remedial works, adjustments, and full installations of timber fire doors and doorsets

Ensure full compliance with BM Trada Q-Mark or equivalent third-party certification requirements

Conduct on-site inspections and diagnostics of non-compliant doors

Maintain clear, accurate records, including installation forms, sign-offs, and photographic evidence

Liaise with clients, site managers, and internal teams to ensure project efficiency and client satisfaction

Essential Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years' experience in fire door remedial and installation work

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent trade qualification)

In-depth understanding of fire door regulations

Experience working with BM Trada Q-Mark or FIRAS schemes

High standard of written and verbal communication for reporting and documentation

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schedules, and specifications

Experience working in occupied buildings, with strong awareness of health & safety

Full UK driving licence (essential)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 200.00 per day
