The Role
We are currently looking for a skilled carpenter to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a minimum of 3 years' on-site experience, looking to specialise in the expanding fire door industry.
You'll be working as a subcontractor across both installation and manufacturing, including carpentry and painting duties. We install both pre-manufactured fire doors and our own in-house manufactured and painted fire doors.
Key Responsibilities
Install fire doors and frames to a high standard
Fit and adjust door closers, architraves, and ironmongery
Carry out basic painting and decorating (priming, undercoating, topcoating)
Make good any damage around door frames during and after installation
Use workshop tools such as table saws, rail saws, routers, and more
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally onsite
Requirements
Minimum 3 years' on-site carpentry experience
Own transport and tools
Competence and confidence using a range of power tools and workshop machinery
Basic knowledge of fire door installation (further training provided)
Willingness to travel across the South East for site work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, responsible, and takes pride in quality work
Good communication skills and confident in dealing with clients
