As part of a growing company we are looking to expand the team with an additional full time member of staff. We are seeking a skilled and reliable carpenter to join our team installing fire doors as part of a team on a range of sites. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
While our main business is in the south-east of England, we offer services in a much wider geographical area, so an ability to stay away overnight to carry out jobs further afield will be necessary - (accommodation provided).
Role
Perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including installation, repair, and maintenance of doors,and other structures.
Making good after-fire doors installations
Survey of fire doors for replacement.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and meets relevant building codes and regulations and Fireco's third party certification. Training in appropriate methods and certification requirements will be given.
Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Removal of existing fire doors
Requirements
Proven experience as a carpenter, with a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and tools.
Experience with fire door installation is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Monday - Friday, typically 40 hours per week
Some overnight stays (accomodation provided)
Ideally based in the M25 area
Clean driving licence essential
Must have Right to Work in UK
