Due to continued success and growth, we are expanding our expert team and looking for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join us. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality assessments, fire strategies, and compliance advice -- all underpinned by strong client relationships and a commitment to safety and service excellence.
The Role: Fire Risk Assessor
As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting thorough fire risk assessments, delivering expert advice, and ensuring compliance with UK fire safety legislation across a wide range of properties.
Responsibilities
Conduct complex Fire Risk Assessments to a high standard (including small/high rise residential block, commercial, and specialist buildings)
Compile detailed FRA reports using a PC and hand-held tablet
Create fire strategy plans and emergency escape plans
Provide fire safety advice in line with relevant legislation (incl. Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005)
Deliver both theory and practical fire safety training sessions at clients premises
Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and professionalism
Ensure all assessments and reports are completed to ISO9001/BAFE SP205 standards and within set timeframes
Keep up to date with fire safety best practices through CPD, industry memberships, and training
What We're Looking For
Recognised fire safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Fire Safety, Level 4 Diploma, or equivalent)
In-depth knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, Approved Document B, and risk assessment methodology
Strong understanding of building construction and structure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service skills and professional attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and tablet-based reporting tools
Full UK driving licence
