We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment across various projects, particularly within the construction sector. This position requires a proactive approach to safety management, system design, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Duties
The Safety Specialist will be responsible for the following:
Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures tailored to construction environments.
Collaborating with project managers and teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Providing training and guidance to employees on safety practices and emergency procedures.
Investigating accidents and incidents, preparing reports, and recommending corrective actions.
Assisting in the design of safety systems that integrate seamlessly into project workflows.
Keeping up-to-date with industry standards and changes in legislation related to health and safety.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience in a safety role, preferably within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of system design principles as they relate to workplace safety.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying risks and implementing solutions.
