With a healthy order book and the opportunity to grow and expand further we are seeking to appoint a Senior Fire Safety Consultant with extensive experience in the fire safety sector.

What we're looking for




We're recruiting for a Fire Safety Consultant to join our team, where you will be expected to undertake fire risk assessments in a wide range of premises, including complex and sleeping risk environments. This role involves supporting clients with their fire safety requirements by providing practical solutions and expert advice on onsite issues, in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the Building Safety Act 2022, relevant Approved Codes of Practice, and current fire safety guidance. You will also be responsible for supporting the Head of Fire Safety through on-site workplace assessments of our consultants, contributing to quality assurance of fire risk assessments, and offering operational resilience when required. Additionally, you may be asked to deliver fire safety training and, on occasion, support clients with general health and safety needs such as workplace inspections and audits.


About You


You'll have at least five years' experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments, including in complex and sleeping risk premises, and holding a Level 3 Diploma in Fire Safety or equivalent. You'll have experience with compartmentation and fire door surveys, and a solid understanding of relevant legislation and guidance including Approved Document B, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and BS 9999/9991. Accreditation with IFE, IFSM, FRACS, or IFPO is essential. You will be detail-focused, and confident supporting both clients and fellow consultants. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are key to success in this role. Regional and national travel is required, so flexibility is a must. While health and safety qualifications and IOSH or IIRSM membership are desirable, they're not essential.
