Job Summary: Kiwa Fire Safety Compliance have an exciting opening for a Fire Safety Engineer to join our Fire Safety team. Working as part of a specialised engineering consultancy in a supportive and diverse team of established fire engineers, this is the perfect role if you are looking to advance your career in fire engineering. You will be fully supported with mentoring, training, and exposure to a wide range of projects. This position offers excellent prospects for progression, including opportunities to broaden your fire engineering knowledge and skills by collaborating with other Kiwa Fire Safety Compliance departments and specialists - such as our unique Fire Safety Product Evaluation team and experts in structural and active fire safety systems covering all aspects of fire safety. About the role:
Support the team in delivering fire safety consultancy services. Review building designs and design elements to assess compliance with recognised guidance, while contributing to the development of fire solutions as part of the overall design team. Engage directly with clients, design teams, and Statutory Authorities through emails, calls, and meetings, under the guidance of senior engineers. Build knowledge of fire engineering and Building Regulations to support a variety of sector projects. Deliver work within agreed timeframes and budgets. Benefit from mentoring and training while taking ownership of your professional development. A minimum of 25 hours of CPD annually is expected, supported by the company through both formal and informal learning. Attend site inspections when required.
Do you have what it takes?:
Hold a Level 5/6 qualification, typically a foundation degree (Level 5) or a bachelor's degree with honours (Level 6) in an Engineering-related subject. Good knowledge of relevant standards and fire safety legislation. Ability to take technical responsibility within your area of expertise. Strong interpersonal skills for communicating technical matters effectively. Commitment to working safely and in line with safe systems of work. The ability to perform routine tasks. The ability to learn new and best practice methods. A balanced approach to meeting the needs of customers, shareholders, and employees. Willingness to travel as and when required. Trusted to deal with confidential information.

40,000 - 59,000

per annum
