Overview


We're looking for a skilled

Fire & Security Engineer

The Role



You'll be responsible for

servicing and fault-finding

across a variety of systems, with the opportunity to support

installations and commissioning

. This is a client-facing role where your professionalism and technical expertise will help us deliver safe, compliant, and reliable fire & security solutions.

What We're Looking For



Proven experience in servicing a wide range of access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems. Practical experience in fire alarm servicing, with knowledge of GENT systems being an advantage. Strong technical IT skills, including installing Windows operating systems and networking. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring paperwork is accurate and company procedures are consistently followed within required timescales. A motivated and enthusiastic team player, able to perform well under pressure while maintaining a professional and customer-focused attitude. Full UK driving licence. IPAF & PASMA certifications are desirable.
An FIA training card would be an advantage, but we'll support you with training if needed.

Key Responsibilities



Carry out

servicing and planned preventative maintenance

on fire and security systems, including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control. Diagnose and

fault-find

system issues, ensuring timely resolution to maintain system integrity and client satisfaction. Undertake

small-scale installations and commissioning

works where required. Maintain accurate

service and maintenance records

, completing all required documentation. Ensure compliance with

BS 5839, BS 5266, PD 6662, and NSI standards

. Work safely and effectively, adhering to company health and safety policies, RAMS, and site-specific requirements. Provide

technical support

and guidance as required. Represent VF&S in a professional manner, maintaining excellent client relationships.
