Role Overview
As a Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for the routine servicing and maintenance of fire alarms, security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems, delivered in line with current industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and service, fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV (IP and analogue), and access control systems
Diagnose faults and exceed service targets
Provide system demonstrations and explain false alarm scenarios to customers
Participate in out-of-hours (OOH) on-call rota and offer telephone support
Carry out complex remedial tasks and an element of installation
Understand and respond to customer needs effectively
Fulfil additional duties as required by management
Ensure safety and compliance with company health and safety policies
Uphold information security and protect company assets from misuse or unauthorized access
About You
Essential Requirements:
3+ years of experience in service/repair roles within the fire & security industry
Hands-on experience with intruder alarm systems (e.g. Galaxy, Menvier, Scantronic)
Experience with Maintaining Fire Alarm Systems and carrying out PPM's
Knowledge of CCTV and access control systems, including network/IP-based products
Ideally have experience in Extinguisher PPM
Strong customer service and communication skills
Full UK driving license (clean)
