Key Purpose of role:  
To carry out the servicing, fault-finding, replacement, and repair of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting in accordance with current British Standards and company procedures. The role also involves working with a variety of life safety and security systems, including access control, intercom systems, and Nurse Call systems.  
The role requires a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, clear communication, and the ability to confidently handle any situation on-site, while maintaining compliance with all health and safety requirements.  
Key Job Responsibilities:  
Investigate and fault-find on Fire Detection & Alarm and Emergency Lighting systems as a primary focus.
Possess in-depth knowledge of Nurse Call and Staff Attack systems, including Intercall, C-Tec (Quantec), and SAS.
Maintain sound working knowledge of Access Control and Intercom systems, such as Paxton, RGL, Fermax, and Videx; knowledge of CCTV and Intruder systems is advantageous.
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on all fire and security systems.
Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours callout and telephone support (24/7/365).
Undertake repair, commissioning, and installation of both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems, ensuring all work meets a high standard of workmanship.
Maintain awareness of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., BS5839-1, BS5266-1) and comply with fair trading and competition rules, seeking specialist support where required.
Actively support company policies and best practices in data security and confidentiality, particularly concerning sensitive customer information.
Implement and adhere to the organisation's information security policies and procedures.
Protect company and client assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference.
Promptly report any health, safety, or security incidents, potential risks, or breaches.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of client needs, ensuring all works are completed to specification and in full cooperation with site conditions
