Overview

As a Fire Watcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safety and compliance on construction sites. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor activities and identify potential fire hazards, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed diligently. You'll be the vigilant guardian of the site, ready to act swiftly in case of emergencies while collaborating closely with construction teams to maintain a secure working environment.

What you'll do

Monitor construction activities to identify and mitigate fire hazards effectively. Conduct regular inspections of tools, equipment, and materials to ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain clear communication with construction teams regarding fire safety protocols and emergency procedures. Document and report any safety violations or incidents promptly. Assist in training team members on fire prevention techniques and emergency response actions. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely while adhering to all operational guidelines. Collaborate with site managers to implement fire safety measures during various construction phases.

Basic qualifications

Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and practices. Experience in construction site environments, demonstrating familiarity with various trades such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and masonry.

Preferred qualifications

Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics for effective site management. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and restoration processes. Familiarity with construction estimating, inspection, and management practices. Skills in concrete forming, plastering, trim carpentry, roofing, caulking, glass installation, cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, welding, hardscape work, and remodeling.

Pay: Up to 17.00 per hour
