Job Description

We are looking a Permanent Firewall Inspector for our Monday to Friday Rotating Shifts

The role of the Firewall Inspector is to validate production products and processes in accordance with customer, regulatory and BCW BMS requirements.

Role Objective

Mechanical and visual inspection of finished production parts in accordance with customer requirements and BCW approved inspection processes and methods. Proprietary and in process inspection of production parts in accordance with customer requirements and BCW approved inspection methods. Compliance with customer and regulatory quality requirements Meet production OEE & SQCDIP targets and support continual improvement initiatives.

Specific Responsibilities

General Task Management

Inspection of semi finished and finished production parts utilizing key visual, mechanical and proprietary measurement methods. Complete all production provision activities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Report inspection data utilizing inspection control documentation / OEE datasheets Ensure compliance to route card discipline requirements. Ensure compliance to HSE requirements Support the business unit support functions and shift leaders when investigating issues and completing continual improvement activities. Support the one BCW initiative in providing training in accordance with BCW BMS requirements

Problem Solving

Support the business unit support functions and shift leaders when investigating issues and completing continual improvement activities.

Self-Management

Time effective management for shift attendance and planned overtime. Self-compliance to Business Management System requirements and standard processes.

Relationship Management

Maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure business unit targets and objectives are achieved.

Skills and Attributes:

Excellent Interpersonal skills / Communication skills The ability to work Pro-actively whilst multi-tasking and within a team environment in an organised manner, under pressure and methodically to meet organisation's standards and turnaround times. Interpretation of 2D Engineering Drawing. Basic Knowledge of manual inspection equipment and methods. Proven experience of successfully working within a manufacturing focused environment which incorporated elements of: Production and manufacturing processes and techniques

Rotating Shifts

Monday to Friday 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm

This is a permanent position, uniform will be provided

The rate of pay is 12.30

Shift allowance for applicable hours is paid at time and a 1/6th

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.30 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
