Job Description

- First Aid Trainer



We are seeking an experienced and qualified First Aid Trainer to deliver regulated First Aid training courses, including:

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)

Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)

Bespoke/refresher sessions (non-regulated)


The ideal candidate will be passionate about high-quality education, confident in delivering classroom-based and practical sessions, and fully compliant with awarding body standards.

Key Responsibilities



Deliver high-quality First Aid training and assessment in accordance with Ofqual-recognised awarding body standards Maintain accurate learner records and documentation (e.g., registers, assessment records, ID checks). Ensure compliance with internal and external quality assurance requirements. Keep up to date with current practices and legal requirements in first aid and health and safety. Provide support and guidance to learners before, during, and after the course.

Person Specification



Essential Qualifications:

First Aid Knowledge:



A recognised First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification (Level 3 or equivalent) Must be current and issued within the last 3 year

Teaching/Training Qualification (one of the following):



Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) PTLLS (Post-16 Teaching Qualification) Cert Ed/PGCE or equivalent
Desirable:

FREC 3 qualification

Assessing Qualification (any one of the following):



Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (ACWE) Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) D32/D33 or A1

Occupational Competence:



Evidence of relevant industry experience in a setting where first aid was applied (e.g., security, healthcare, military, emergency services) CPD portfolio or recent refresher training in First Aid Experience delivering first aid courses Assessors qualification Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willing to undergo a check) Access to own transport Availability for evening or weekend delivery if required
