First Charge

is First Bus's dedicated electric vehicle (EV) charging brand, supporting the UK's move toward net zero. By opening up our depot-based ultra-rapid charging infrastructure to both the public and commercial fleets, First Charge is helping to make EV charging more accessible, reliable, and efficient.



As a First Charge Host, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers enjoy a seamless charging experience. You'll be the first point of contact for visitors, help maintain the site's technical systems, and support the wider Commercial Team in keeping operations running smoothly.



These roles are

part-time, permanent

positions, working on a rota basis for

12 to 18 hours per week

, Monday to Friday.

What You'll Be Doing

Open and close the hub daily, ensuring it's ready for both public and fleet use. Provide on-site support to customers, handling queries and minor technical issues. Monitor and maintain transaction logs and card terminals. Assist with marketing activity and visitor logging. Keep the site clean, safe, and well-presented.

What We're Looking For

A strong customer service mindset and excellent communication skills. Financial awareness and commercial understanding. A proactive, innovative approach to problem-solving. Interest in EV infrastructure (experience is a bonus, but not essential). A team player who embodies FirstGroup's values and behaviours.
