DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a First Line Manager - Stock Control to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

To plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of a team, providing effective delegation, communication, leadership, motivation, training and development Manage daily operational functions and directly undertake such functions as required Ensure cycle counts are carried out to meet contractual requirements Daily team briefing to include customer news, site news and review of next weeks forecasts Recommend and where possible, implement operational process improvements

Good knowledge of warehouse functions and WMS Good organisation, communication and planning skills Good understanding of H&S requirements Results orientated with a can do attitude

A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received.
