We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Fryer, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various fried dishes to meet our high standards of quality and taste. Your role will be essential in ensuring that our customers receive delicious meals in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for frying, including washing, cutting, and marinating as required.
Operate frying equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality fried foods.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal flavour and texture.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
Assist in meal preparation for service, ensuring all dishes are ready on time.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Follow recipes accurately while also being open to suggestions for menu improvements.
Qualifications
Previous kitchen experience is preferred, particularly in a restaurant setting.
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
