About the role

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Fishmonger to join our team. This role involves physical work, basic customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. We welcome quick learners.

Responsibilities

Handle and organize fresh seafood products, including

sorting and stocking

. Assist customers with purchases, providing friendly and efficient service. Perform basic calculations for sales transactions and ensure accuracy. Maintain cleanliness by managing waste disposal and keeping the work area tidy. Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Additional tasks may be assigned during the interview or on the job as needed.

Requirements

Physically capable of lifting and moving seafood products. Basic math skills for handling sales and transactions. Strong customer service skills and a friendly attitude. Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Quick thinking and problem-solving in a dynamic market setting. Self-motivated, punctual, hardworking, and eager to learn. A valid driver's license is preferred but not required. Previous experience in a fish market, grocery store, or food industry is an advantage but not mandatory.

Hours & pay

Tue-Sat, 06:30-11:30

Pay:

12.50 per hour to start; increases to 13.00 based on performance
