Contract: Fixed Term Contract - 12 months*

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: 34,434 - 37,280

Location: Kelvedon Park

The Role



This is an opportunity to be part of an existing and dynamic, small team of fitness advisers, working within the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, providing fitness assessment services and health and exercise advice to operational firefighters and support staff.

What You Will Be Working On



You will visit fire Service premises throughout the County to carry out fitness assessments, provide remedial diet and exercise advice, and assist with the delivery of health and fitness education.

What Are We Looking For?



We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who can motivate others and is experienced in giving health and fitness advice.

You will be a good communicator who enjoys working as part of a team and is available to work regular evenings within a time off in lieu system.

Eligibility



Sports and Exercise Science Degree (or equivalent degree) Full driving licence Ideally hold a Level 3 Fitness level qualification

Role specific panel interview and a short-written exercise

Assessments will be made against positive indicators taken from the Code of Ethics, the NFCC Leadership Framework and our Service Values and Behaviours.
