Fitness Manager
Location: Chiswick
Salary: 31,100
Are you passionate about fitness and ready to step into a pivotal leadership role? We're looking for a proactive and energetic Fitness Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our leisure centre, motivating both staff and members to reach their full potential.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage a thriving fitness environment, shape the member experience, and play a key part in achieving our centre's goals.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee gym floor operations, fitness programmes, classes, and holiday activities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while meeting KPIs for revenue, participation, and retention.
• Develop and evolve group exercise, junior gym, and fitness induction offerings.
• Lead a team through recruitment, training, performance reviews, and ongoing development.
• Ensure all health & safety, compliance, and building management protocols are met.
• Take ownership of departmental budgeting, payroll, and stock control.
• Act as a Duty Manager during your shift, maintaining operational excellence.

What We're Looking For:

• Supervisory experience in leisure, fitness, or hospitality environments.
• Background as a Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, or Group Exercise Leader.
• Proven ability to manage staff performance, handle customer feedback, and lead by example.
• Strong understanding of H&S, safeguarding, and compliance.
• Financially astute with experience managing budgets and achieving commercial targets.
• Organised, engaging, and results-driven with great people skills.

Essential Qualifications:

• Level 2 Fitness Qualification (minimum)
• First Aid at Work Certificate
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)

Bonus if you have:

• Level 3 Fitness Qualification or higher
