We are writing a new and exciting chapter in the history of The Belfry. A major expansion and renovation project has begun at our resort, due for completion in Autumn 2025. With a substantial investment in excess of 80 million, we are enriching our resort including the addition of a new event space, The Masters Suite, 149 extra bedrooms, a state-of-the-art leisure club, and much more.

Leisure

The Leisure team at The Belfry Hotel & Resort look after the perfect place to keep fit and stay active with some of the best fitness equipment and facilities in the area. Our expert team are always on hand to welcome our guests and provide fitness advice, personal training sessions and fitness classes.

Salary

The on target earning potential for this role is 21,299.20 annual salary, compromising of a base salary of 20,317.44 plus a qualified estimate of 981.76 gratuities per annum. This salary is based on a 32 hour per week contract.

About the role

This role is a part time position and is 32 hours per week, spread over 5 days out of 7 and will include weekends.


As a Fitness Professional, your main responsibility is to ensure the delivery of the fitness product on the gym floor is to the highest standard, in terms of service, delivery and appearance and to ensure the club is presented according to the defined standards and that all members, day spa guests and hotel residents can enjoy their experience in a safe environment.


You will be responsible for:


Delivery of fitness training sessions, including inductions, programme design and delivery, fitness testing, health appraisals and gym floor classes

Monitor the gym floor and offer assistance when and where required

To deliver personal training sessions on and off shift

To work with the Leisure Operations Manager to develop, improve and maintain procedures in the club

To ensure the smooth running of the club on a day to day basis

To ensure that all the studio / fitness equipment, furniture and fittings are well maintained and in an operational, clean and tidy condition at all times

To maintain a visual presence within the gym and poolside and deal with any member/guest/resident queries

To ensure daily cleaning tasks are performed by the Leisure Operations Team according to the standard procedures

Carry out any aqua spa shifts or show rounds when and where needed

To identify opportunities to improve club sales and profitability

About you

The ideal candidate will have up to or the equivalent NVQ Level 2 in Health and Fitness and experience in working within a similar setting.

Proficient in understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety
