COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR JOB
EDUCATION: GCSE
SPECIFIC TRAINING: (Certificates etc.) Fitness instructor level 2, Personal trainer level 3
SPECIFIC SKILLS: EXPERIENCE: Fitness instruction and communication
KEY OBJECTIVES
1. To carry out the role of Fitness instructor.
2. To ensure presentation and cleanliness of the facilities.
3. Ensuring that high levels of customer service and adopted at all times.
4. To do gym inductions and classes
K.O.1
a) To complete all inductions, fitness assessments and programme prescriptions in a professional manner.
b) To supervise and motivate all fitness facility customers.
c) Maintain a high level of knowledge, keeping abreast of new trends within the industry.
d) To perform any other duties as directed by Management.
e) Contribute to programming and general operation of the facilities through ideas and support.
K.O.2
a) To complete all cleaning schedules with records kept up to date.
b) Ensuring maintenance checks are done and records kept up to date in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations.
c) To perform reception duties such as answering the phone, cashing up and making spa bookings
K.O.3
a) Ensure that correct uniform is worn at all times along with name badges.
b) To maintain the safety and well being of customers using the facilities.
c) Maintain a clean and safe environment.
d) Attend interactive instructor update sessions on a regular basis.
e) Maintain the highest standards of service, presentation and professional advice offered to customers using the fitness facilities.
f) Complete all motivational calls, feedback notes and comeback postcards daily.
Health & Safety:
As a member of team you are responsible for the safety and welfare of any team under your direct control, and you must therefore have knowledge of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and relevant instructions to your area of work. Any matter which you consider requires attention in this respect is your responsibility to report following the correct procedures, or to the Spa and Leisure Cluster Manager. Copies of the current Health & Safety Policy and Safety Procedures are available in the Hotel.
