Purpose of the Role

The successful and safe delivery of programmed Rail Milling Operations and Maintenance

Person Specification

This role would suit candidates looking to further their career in the rail industry. An engineering background is essential, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic will be
required.
All rail specific training will be provided for the successful candidate. Job use van and fuel card will
also be provided by Colas Rail.
Applicants will have to have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work alone or as part of a team and
a "can do" attitude when faced with solving problems.
Lodging away from home will be required.

Key Responsibilities

Operating or maintaining the machine safely and effectively, as instructed by the Milling or
Maintenance Supervisor.
Reporting any machine defects to the Maintenance Supervisor, where appropriate. Collating the data output from the machine where applicable. To work safely and effectively to Colas Rail Services Operations procedures. Assist in maintaining quality systems, machine safety packs and stabling database by
continually monitoring, reviewing and making recommendations for updating as required
Undertake any other duties if assessed as competent to do so
