Responsibilities

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately assemble components. Fit and install mechanical parts, ensuring all work meets quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols. Document work performed and report any discrepancies or defects in materials or workmanship.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and assembly techniques. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Relevant qualifications or certifications in engineering or mechanical fitting are advantageous but not mandatory.
