Perform MIG, TIG, and ARC welding to assemble silencers and/or acoustic canopies according to engineering specifications.
Fabricate and fit components and assemblies using various welding techniques and equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine proper welding requirements.
Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, shaping and fitting using tools such as grinders, saws, and torches.
Inspect welds and fabricated parts for defects, ensuring all work meets company quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with the Quality department to address and resolve any quality issues.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Adhere to safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Utilise personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a clean and organised work area.
Work closely with other team members, supervisors, and departments to ensure seamless production workflow and timely project completion.
Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in welding and fabrication operations.
Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current with new welding techniques and industry best practices.
Assist in other production areas as needed, demonstrating versatility and willingness to support overall manufacturing goals.
