Job Title: Brewery Fixed Asset Accountant

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent

Salary: \xc2\xa340,000 - \xc2\xa350,000 per annum (Negotiable)

We are currently seeking a talented Fixed Asset Accountant to join our client, a well-established and highly regarded brewery based in Sittingbourne, Kent. If you have a strong background in accounting and are passionate about the brewing industry, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the entire Fixed Asset process including creation, tracking, and disposal, ensuring accurate and timely recording on financial systems and reports
• Coordinate with various departments to gather relevant asset records and update the fixed asset register accordingly
• Conduct regular asset verifications and physical counts to ensure book records align with physical assets
• Prepare monthly depreciation journals and assist in other journal entries as required
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reconcile asset management records and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in the month-end closing process, including providing supporting schedules and analysis
• Provide expertise on fixed asset accounting matters, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies
• Support and contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems
• Assist with various financial projects and audits as needed

Requirements:

• Part-Qualified Accountant (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent
• Strong experience in fixed asset accounting, ideally within the manufacturing or brewing industry
• Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiasm for the brewing industry and a passion for working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
