Summary

We are seeking a

vibrant, active, and compassionate Support Worker

to support a 38-year-old male client living in his own home in York. Our client sustained a brain injury and requires support to live independently and enjoy an active lifestyle.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves being out and about, enjoys physical activity, and wants to make a genuine difference in someone's life. The role involves providing support with:

All aspects of

daily living

- including domestic tasks and meal preparation

Shopping

and household management

Accessing social and leisure activities

in the community

Accompanying the client to the gym

(or being open to joining in workouts)

Going on long day trips

and

occasional overnight stays

Bike rides

and

dog-friendly activities

(a love for dogs is essential!)

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

A

driver with access to a vehicle

(essential) Happy to engage in exercise and outdoor activities Sociable, upbeat, and enjoys building rapport Comfortable with flexible, community-based work Reliable, patient, and able to work independently
Experience supporting individuals with brain injuries or similar needs is helpful but not essential - the right attitude, willingness to learn, and compatibility with our client are most important.

Working Hours

Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday

9:00am - 5:00pm (8-hour shifts)

Total:

24 hours per week
