About the role
We currently recruiting for a Fleet Administrator to support our Central Fleet team, reporting to our Fleet Engineering Manager. This role will support the management of our fleet, including all administrative duties and compliance of our transport systems and associated documents.
This role can be based out of our Didcot or Wellingborough Distribution Centre's and will consist of 5 days a week on site.
The ideal candidate will have some previous experience in a transport setting, specifically managing administrative tasks.
You will be responsible for
Supporting Fleet Engineering Manager and wider Central Fleet team with various administrative duties
Input and update fleet data in management systems, generate reports on vehicle performance, downtime, fuel usage and costs
Monitor and prioritise emails, draft responses and flag urgent issues
Organise meetings, take minutes, circulate and follow up on action items
Work with various stakeholders across the Central Transport team to ensure compliance, HS&L
Financial and Procurement support
Liaise with service providers for service updates, reviewing performance against KPI's closing off any ongoing queries as well as adhoc support for anything fleet and vehicle related
Act as point of contact between Engineering team and other departments (e.g, Finance, operations, network, Central Fleet)
Provide administrative support for engineering projects, including timelines, documentation and record keeping
Support internal/ External audits review
General administration & reporting
You will need
Administrative experience is essential
Previous experience of working in Transport related environment
Experience in Transport & Logistics and knowledge of Vehicles Road Transport law (especially Driver's hours and vehicles servicing etc.) would be advantageous
Experience with fleet administration and knowledge of Operator licencing compliance (preferred)
Ability to analyse verbal and numeric data
Able to work on own initiative and under pressure within a fast paced environment
Ability to identify issues and follow through to a logical conclusion
Excellent communication skills
Good time management and organisational skills
Ability to keep details confidential within the scope of GDPR
