Your future role





The purpose of the Planning Manager role is to oversee the strategic development and execution of maintenance and planning schedules for a large fleet of Aventra Units. This position is pivotal in ensuring that all maintenance activities are meticulously scheduled, thereby guaranteeing optimal fleet performance and compliance with maintenance mileage tolerances.



We'll look to you for:


Schedule Development: Produce a comprehensive daily maintenance schedule that encompasses all aspects of maintenance, including Exams, UAT, Wheel Turning, Defects, Modifications, and Overhauls for a 14-day outlook. Ensure all stakeholders have clear visibility into Alstom's maintenance requirements. Fleet Monitoring: Closely monitor the mileage and condition status of the fleet, proactively identifying defects and potential issues to mitigate downtime and optimize performance. Resource and Material Planning: Strategically plan resources and materials to enhance depot efficiencies, ensuring all necessary components for overhaul and maintenance are available and well-managed. Performance Review: Systematically review maintenance performance and processes, driving continuous improvement in service execution by fostering a culture of accountability and ownership within the team. Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all planning initiatives align with organizational objectives, and deliver outcomes on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Development of Tools and Processes: Establish and refine the governance processes, tools, and techniques needed to create a robust planning function, ensuring all elements driving fleet availability are captured, maintained, and utilized effectively. Condition Status Reporting: Compile and maintain a comprehensive condition status of the fleet, utilizing this information to proactively manage workload, enhance planning execution, and provide insightful reports to customers. Outstation and Train Diagram Management: Manage the planning and workload for outstation operations efficiently, ensuring the timely delivery of units to required locations as per train diagrams.
