About the Role:
To be the key point for the DHL eCommerce Network with all transport Operations issues. Within this the ability to talk communicate with key stakeholders and senior managers to improve the business' compliance. To be the point of contact for procurement decisions with new fleet and actively working with suppliers internal and external
Key Responsibilities:
Point of escalation for fleet ops team to better parts and VOR lead times.
Negotiate with hire companies for better hire rates on all equipment.
Review and authorise repair estimates.
Support network with all VOR issues and supply replacement equipment where needed.
Owner of FORS account
Manage major repairs via the bodyshops and insurance companies.
Liaise with authorities when incidents occur.
Review weekly recharges with TIP and challenge repairs that should not be recharged to reduce amount owing.
Report daily to DHL and TIP current MOT performance and escalate where needed.
Report extended VORs with TIP and escalate where needed.
Oversee Trailer operations.
Oversee Powered fleet operations.
Oversee MHE for sites.
Oversee Vans for C+D operations.
Arrange parts for sites for minor vehicle defects.
Manage and send out daily VOR report for the entire fleet.
Transport Manager for the WM Operator licence.
Review planners for both sides of the team and where needed level out the maintenance plan.
Plan MOTs for both vehicles and trailers ensuring they fall within other expiries and a service to reduce downtime.
Log all new fleet coming into the business on the new fleet register.
Create and supply monthly infringement management report for review by control room management.
What We're Looking For:
Must hold a MCPC in Road Haulage
Good analytical ability with a focus on continuous improvement
5 years fleet operations experience
