. This pivotal role combines responsibility for fleet compliance, procurement processes, and assisting with the smooth operation of our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Compliance & Driver Monitoring
Maintain accurate records for vehicle servicing, MOTs, insurance, road tax, and repairs to ensure full legal compliance.
Oversee driver documentation (licenses, medicals, CPC), conducting regular audits and renewals.
Monitor driver behaviour using generated performance reports and flag repeat issues for management action.
Assist with accident reporting, insurance claims, and associated cost tracking.
Support the achievement and maintenance of Logistics UK Van Safe accreditation by preparing and organising compliance documentation.
Procurement & Stock Control
Process purchase orders and requisitions accurately.
Maintain procurement records, track supplier performance, and support supplier onboarding and due diligence.
Manage inventory levels to meet operational needs.
Match invoices, monitor purchasing controls, and assist with cost optimisation efforts.
Warehouse Operations & Maintenance
Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, well-organised, and compliant with safety regulations.
Oversee stock control processes including stocktakes, receiving, and dispatching goods.
Operate a forklift truck safely and efficiently (training provided if not certified).
Deliver materials to field teams and collect supplies from local vendors as required.
Demonstrate a proactive, flexible approach and a willingness to undertake physical tasks.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Fleet Management:
Experience in vehicle compliance, maintenance scheduling, and fleet administration.
Telematics & Driver Monitoring:
Familiarity with systems to track driving standards.
Procurement & Inventory:
Basic understanding of procurement practices and stock control processes.
Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
Organisation & Independence:
Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely.
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid UK driving licence (essential).
Ability to drive a 7.5t truck, CPC Licence (essential)
Forklift truck certification (preferred, but training can be provided).
Experience in fleet or warehouse operations (preferred).
IT literate and confident using Microsoft systems for record-keeping and reporting.
Willingness to learn and undertake training.
