Key Responsibilities
The primary function of this role is to ensure PTL's extensive fleet of trailer-mounted and vacuum toilets, based across our yards (including
Swindon, Oxford
and
Basingstoke
), are cleaned, maintained, and prepared to the highest standard for dispatch and storage.
1. Fleet Cleaning and Maintenance
? Perform thorough, detailed
cleaning and sanitisation
of portable toilet units (trailer-mounted and vacuum types) returning to the yard or awaiting deployment.
? Work efficiently alongside the existing cleaner to process large volumes of fleet assets quickly and to a consistent, high standard.
? Maintain
accurate records
of units cleaned and ready for dispatch.
2. Driving and Logistics Support
?
Act as the primary driver for our existing cleaner
, transporting them safely and efficiently between the
Bridgend
office and our satellite yards (e.g
Swindon, Oxford
and
Basingstoke
) to support the cleaning operation.
? Assist with the movement of units within the yard when required, ensuring safe storage and accessibility.
3. Yard Management and Safety
? Ensure the cleaning area, yards, and surrounding environment are kept clean, tidy, and organised in line with our
ISO 14001 environmental standards
.
? Adhere strictly to all company health and safety procedures, including the safe handling of cleaning chemicals and waste disposal.
? Report any equipment faults, fleet damage, or safety concerns immediately to the Operations Manager.
Essential Requirements
? A
full, clean UK Driving License
is mandatory.
? Proven experience in a similar hands on, physical role, ideally involving cleaning, maintenance, or logistics.
? No more than 3 points on current license.
? Must be flexible with working overtime and weekends when work is required.
? Must be able to demonstrate a high standard of
Integrity and Professionalism
in all tasks.
? Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks efficiently.
? Must live within a commutable distance of the Bridgend Head Office.
? A strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
