Role Overview



We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Flexibility Coach

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in developing mobility, strength, and safe stretching techniques for children and adults - from beginners through to elite athletes. You will design and deliver flexibility programmes that complement gymnastics, tumbling, acrobatics, and dance training, while helping athletes improve posture, control, and body awareness.

Key Responsibilities



Plan and deliver safe, progressive flexibility and conditioning sessions for athletes of all ages and abilities. Teach stretching techniques that develop active and passive flexibility, balance, and control. Support athletes in achieving flexibility goals for gymnastics, tumbling, cheer, and acro performance. Provide individualised drills and progressions to meet each gymnast's needs. Ensure safe practice and injury prevention through correct warm-up and cool-down routines. Collaborate with gymnastics, tumbling, and acrobatics coaches to integrate flexibility into wider training plans. Motivate and inspire athletes, fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Person Specification

Essential:



Strong background in flexibility training, gymnastics, acrobatics, dance, or a related discipline. Knowledge of safe stretching practices, strength development, and injury prevention. Experience teaching or coaching children and young people. Excellent communication, motivational, and organisational skills. Commitment to athlete welfare, safeguarding, and inclusive practice.

Desirable:



Coaching qualification in gymnastics, dance, acrobatics, or yoga/pilates. Experience working with elite-level athletes. First Aid and Safeguarding certifications. Ability to design and monitor long-term flexibility development programmes.
