Job Summary

Are you currently a Chef looking for part time work but hours to suit you?

Are you working in another industry but want to bulk up your hours part time?

We are looking for Chefs that would want to be employed on a part time basis that suits you.

You would be able to put your availability into your rota weeks in advance and we would assign shifts accordingly giving you the flexibility to earn some extra money in your spare time.

This role does require a good level of previous experience in a gastro pub.

This role can also be self employed or employed

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food preparation and cooking techniques. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen environment. Collaborate with other departments to create special menus for events or seasonal offerings. Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and restaurant protocols. Monitor portion control and waste management to optimise food production efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary arts. Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes. Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing food production processes. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation and service. A commitment to continuous learning and improvement within the culinary field. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 25 per week
