Mission:

Responsible for the daily operation of the Flight Information Service at West Wales Airport, ensuring compliance with CAA regulations and local procedures.

What will be your responsibilities:

Conducting basic flight planning tasks. Liaise with Government Agencies when required Be an active part of the FISO team and assist with administrative duties. Attend operational flight planning briefings with based operators. Review Airport quality manuals. Provide unofficial MET observations. Conduct airfield inspections and report unserviceabilities. Assist with NOTAMs and aerodrome information updates. Support the training of new FISOs. Liaise with RFFS to ensure adequate coverage. Manage ATS email and PPR admin. Coordinate refuelling and handling services. Attend relevant training courses. Duties may evolve based on operational needs.

Profile and requirements:

CAA FISO Licence. SC Clearance Mandatory ROCC (Radio Operator Competence Certificate). Full UK Driving Licence. Proficiency in Word and Excel. Previous experience as an Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO) - civilian or military. Previous experience as a Flight Information Service Officer (FISO). Holder or former holder of a pilot's license (LAPL/PPL or commercial). Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
