Affinity Flying Services plays a vital role in supporting UK military air capability, ensuring the seamless progression of pilots through their training journey. As part of a landmark partnership with the Ministry of Defence, we supply and maintain three aircraft fleets to deliver Elementary and Multi-Engine Flying Training within the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS).

We're now looking for a

Flight Line Mechanic

to join our dynamic team at

RAF Valley

. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you'll be at the heart of flight line operations -- supporting aircraft departures, arrivals, and turnarounds with precision and care.

What You'll Be Doing

Safely marshalling, towing, and brake riding Texan aircraft between hangar and flight line Preparing aircraft for departure and supporting aircrew during handover Performing turnaround and arrival procedures including chocking and securing aircraft Operating Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and completing safety inspections Acting as a flight line safety walker to ensure safe aircraft movements Staying up to date with safety bulletins and reporting through AEMS Promoting a strong safety culture and supporting continuous improvement

What You'll Bring

Essential Experience & Skills

Proven commitment to health and safety in the workplace Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow procedures and work calmly in safety-critical environments Technically competent with great attention to detail GCSE-level education Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain UK security clearance

Desirable Extras

Experience in aviation or similar fast-paced technical environments NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a technical discipline Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and aviation standards
