Job summary

The Flight Operations Officer is responsible for the execution of the daily base flight schedule. They will interface with a number of internal and external stakeholders to manage the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of the programme, whilst upholding a high standard of service to NHV's clients.
The position an operational as well as administrative function, part of the operations department, and reports directly to the Base Manager.

Main Responsibilities

The Flight Operations Officer primary accountabilities & responsibilities are as follows: Maintain and monitor the flight schedule - Including flight watch of aircraft operating from Blackpool base Maintain a weather and NOTAM watch appropriate to the operation Manage Crewing of the programme, including ensuring compliance with the company Flight Time Limitations scheme Provide required operational paperwork to Flight Crew to deliver flights Key point of contact for clients - Liaise as required regarding changes, disruption and any issues in delivery of the flying programme. Assist with enquires and queries as needed. Liaison with Air Traffic Control at Blackpool Airport Liaison with Engineering Team to ensure fleet optimisation and availability Liaise with internal departments as required on current operational matters Work with and supervise the on-shift Ground Handling Agents to ensure the safe, compliant and timely processing of passengers, baggage and freight Ensure all customer and internal reports are completed and distributed on time and in full Ensure all administration is carried out to the required standard and regulations

Skills & Experience

Previous aviation experience Possess professional, friendly and customer-focused personality Willingness to learn and develop Proven ability to work under pressure Sound knowledge and understanding of flight planning, weather reports and NOTAMS would be advantageous. Working knowledge of company Flight Time Limitations - Desirable Vantage experience - Desirable Previous experience in aviation operations role would be an advantage.
