Job Description
Wishaw Abattoir Limited are a medium throughput slaughterhouse. The core business activities are to provide a slaughtering service for local wholesalers, butchers and private customers and are commited to ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality and intergrity of the products offered to our customers.
The operations FLM is mainly responsible to oversee and implement the correct processes and practices across the site. The Manager will oversee the day to day operations and management of the factory floor, manage projects, optimise workflows, ensure complicance with safety and quality standards and co-ordinate with admin staff. The FLM will also be reposible for analysing operational data, improving efficiency, training staff ensuring they are productive and efficient in executing departmental tasks.
Resposibilities
:Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way. Improve operation management systems, processes and best practices Formulate strategic and operational objectives, use them to improve profitability. Recruit, train and supervise staff, conduct appraisals, investigations, disciplinaries and performance reviews. Responsible for up to 20 abattoir/lairage operative Leadership and management skills: Ability to motivate and inspire teams, delegate tasks effectively and make sound decisions. Time management : Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and wrtitten communication skills to effectively convey information and instructions.

Experience of leading team with excellent communication skills Experience in food manufacturing, preferably from a primary plant or experience butcher Food safety & HACCP LEVEL 3 H&S (beneficial)
