Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flood Risk Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing flood risks and developing strategies to mitigate these risks through innovative engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, water resources, and environmental compliance, with proficiency in various engineering software and tools.

Responsibilities



Conduct flood risk assessments using advanced modeling techniques such as SWMM and HEC. Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement water treatment and wastewater treatment solutions. Utilize GIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation for drafting and designing flood mitigation projects. Manage project schedules and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects. Perform data collection and analysis to support research initiatives related to flood risk management. Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations throughout project development phases. Provide technical guidance on geotechnical engineering aspects related to flood risk mitigation. Engage in environmental consulting activities, including environmental permitting and remediation efforts. Maintain effective communication with clients, regulatory agencies, and team members throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven experience in flood risk engineering or related disciplines such as water resources or environmental engineering. Proficiency in engineering software including SWMM, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and CAD tools. Strong understanding of environmental compliance standards set by the EPA and other regulatory bodies. Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of mechanical systems as they relate to water treatment processes is advantageous. Familiarity with construction practices and environmental remediation techniques is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough research and data analysis. Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 40,000.00-75,000.00 per year
