Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tiles in various settings, including residential and commercial properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings. The ideal applicant will have experience working with hand tools, power tools, and possess a solid understanding of construction practices. Responsibilities



Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying suitable adhesives or mortar. Measure and cut tiles accurately using hand tools and power tools to fit specific spaces. Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces in accordance with project specifications. Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise placement of tiles. Use construction painting techniques where necessary to ensure seamless integration with surrounding surfaces. Maintain a clean work environment by organising tools and disposing of waste materials appropriately. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and painters to complete projects efficiently. Inspect completed work for quality assurance and rectify any issues promptly.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Tile Setter or in a similar construction role specialising in tiling. Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, cutters, and levels. Experience operating power tools used in tiling installations. Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans. Basic carpentry skills are desirable for preparing surfaces and framing. Familiarity with construction painting techniques is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions accurately. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Pay: 24,420.00-41,700.00 per year
