The Role
Floor Assistant, V&A East Storehouse (Full and Part Time)
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, communicative and reliable applicant to join the team of Front of House Assistants and help make V&A East's vision a reality.
V&A East Storehouse is a radical reimagining of the museum archive. The V&A's collections are made accessible through immersive interactive experiences, and the building is also home to the David Bowie Centre for Performing Arts.
The team of Front of House Assistants play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of visitor experience and safety across the building. They understand the V&A's core values and ensure that our visitors and diverse audiences feel welcome and engaged. They play a key role in defining how V&A East establishes and continues to build its identity as a leading cultural hub.
V&A East seeks to provide a holistic welcome for our visitors, and as such this role is focused on both visitor experience and daytime front of house security awareness. We will provide excellent opportunities for training and experience as it is important for us to provide you with a career-enhancing skillset.

For more information, please read the attached job description. We have mainly 5, 4 or 3 days per week vacancies to fill but are interested in the right people so can flex with availability to some extent.
We are looking for applications from those living in, or with significant lived experience of, our surroundings boroughs (Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest) to help build V&A East for and by the local communities.
