We are seeking a skilled Floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and experience with various flooring materials. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read schematics, and proficiency in using both hand and power tools. As a Floor Layer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality installations that meet our clients' specifications.

Responsibilities

Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated areas accurately. Install various types of flooring, including carpet, vinyl, laminate, and hardwood. Prepare surfaces for installation by cleaning, levelling, and applying adhesives as necessary. Read and interpret schematics to determine layout and design requirements. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation processes. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct final inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the project duration.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction or a related field is essential. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in flooring installation is required. Basic carpentry skills are advantageous for precise fitting and adjustments. Ability to read schematics and follow technical drawings accurately. Experience in construction painting is a plus for finishing touches on installations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
