We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Floor Manager to oversee daily operations within our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a solid background in food preparation and service. Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas, to ensure efficient service delivery.
Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and resolving guest concerns promptly.
Manage daily operations on the restaurant floor, including table allocations, reservations, and ensuring cleanliness standards are met.
Assist with food production tasks when necessary, supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
Train new staff members on service protocols, health & safety procedures, and company policies.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages.
Ensure compliance with all food safety standards and health & safety legislation.
Organise staff schedules to optimise coverage during peak hours while maintaining fair shift rotations.
Promote a positive team environment through effective leadership and communication.
Requirements
Proven experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is highly desirable.
Familiarity with restaurant management software and POS systems.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in both service delivery and operational procedures.
